MAT 2013 is conducted world wide by Centre for Management Services (CMS) of All India Management Association (AIMA). This AIMA governing body conduct this exam every year. The exam is usually conducted four times in a year in the months of February, May, September and December. MAT is conducted at national level to select students to the renowned B-Schools with AICTE recognitions excluding IIMs. Other top B-Schools and deemed universities accept the score of MAT for admission. The exam has got a status of National Entrance test by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. It is conducted in all the major cities of the country. The MAT is generally valid for the duration of one year form the date of result declaration. MAT exam is normally considered as less tough to crack as compared to CAT exam.
MAT is conducted for post graduate management courses; MBA, MBA+Post Graduate Diploma in Bachelor Administration and Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management. The exam pattern changes from year to year. There is not any prescribed format for the test. The pattern of the exam is objective type. In this exam 200 questions are asked and the duration of the exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes. The exam provides you the opportunity to opt in any mode either online or through conventional mode pen paper based. Institutes participating in MAT are either AICTE/DEC approved; university affiliated colleges.
